We haven't watched all of this - it’s almost 40 minutes - but Spike Lee interviewing RJ Barrett is pretty funny. We quickly learn that Spike Lee hated Duke - until last year.
The two of them have a pretty good chemistry from what we’ve heard.
Given that it’s Spike Lee, we’d just assume that at some point here there will be language that is not appropriate for the office or perhaps small children.
It’s funny to watch Barrett here because first, while he’s midsized for a basketball player, he’s just vastly bigger than the diminutive Lee. You can also see how much work he’s put into his physique. On the one hand, he looks a lot bigger than you’d think at his age. On the other, he’s at times so clearly 19 that it amazes you. You simultaneously see a guy who clearly belongs where he is and also a naive, occasionally wide-eyed kid. He’s passionate about being a Knick. We hope he can maintain it.
