Here’s something to keep an eye on Monday: the New Orleans Pelicans and the Atlanta Hawks kick off pre-season play in Atlanta meaning that Cam Reddish and Zion Williamson should have their first professional encounter.

Reddish has been recuperating from an injury but is listed as probable. He said this about Monday’s game: “This is where we build our chemistry and come together. Learn each other, learn what we do, what we do poorly, and just improve upon those things throughout the entire season ... it’s a beautiful thing. It’s helpful for each and every one of us.”

People in New Orleans are talking about this play and Brandon Ingram, also a former Blue Devil and a current Williamson teammate, said this: “I don’t think anything more would amaze me unless he put it between his legs twice before he dunked it.”

Incidentally, in case you missed it, and it’s pretty trivial if you did, the Pelicans measured Williamson at 6-6, an inch less than he was listed at Duke. When you have that kind of power and a 50” vertical though who cares?
