Duke Freshman Vernon Carey Named To Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award Watch List

The young star has already made an impression

Duke freshman Vernon Carey came to school well regarded and that came through Monday as he was named to the the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Watch List before he even played a game.

The thick 6-10 freshman has already demonstrated a lot of versatility and in fact Coach K said he’s only now learning to play inside. So expect a lot of growth from the young big man.
