Here’s a cool bit for Duke fans - a video tour of JJ Redick’s New York apartment.
The Duke legend and current Pelican and his wife Chelsea bought space in a converted old warehouse and gutted it and started over. They’ve made it into a beautiful space with lots of cool stuff tucked away. They also built in his-and-hers bathrooms and closets, which were cool, and there’s just lots of neat stuff to see.
Walk outside and while you have to deal with city noise of course, you also get to see the river and the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s a sweet place to live although it can’t be a lot of fun during the season when he has to commute home at odd intervals.
We enjoyed it but remember not to touch the umbrellas.
On a more serious note, he spoke of both of his parents in the past tense. We had corresponded with his father when JJ was at Duke and found him to be a very nice man. Time does go on but we hope when he spoke of them, he was referring to their professional lives in the past tense and not his actual parents.
