Marvin Bagley got a lot of attention at Duke - well before and after too - for his immense natural talent. For a big guy he runs well and jumps unbelievably quickly. Coach K, not usually at a loss for words, described it by simply popping a podium twice rapidly and saying that’s what he does.

He came by it naturally. His grandfather was Joe Caldwell and he was a gifted athlete himself as you’ll see here.

He came out of Arizona State with a reputation for jumping and clearly he really had it. That’s a family with some serious athletic genes.
