Duke Holds At #2 In Coaches Poll

A showdown between Duke and Virginia looms

The latest polls were released Monday afternoon and in the coaches poll, which we prefer, Virginia has 11 #1 votes to eight votes for #2 Duke.

We’re at the point of some separation, with UVA, Duke, Tennessee, Michigan, Michigan State and Gonzaga are on the top tier with Virginia Tech, Texas Tech, Kansas, Auburn and Nevada one notch down, at least for now.

The other ACC teams ranked are UNC #12, FSU #13, and NC State #16. Steve Wojciechowski’s Marquette team is in at #19.

The ACC will take at least one hit Tuesday as State and UNC square off in Raleigh.
