A solid year so far for former K players and assistants

It’s been a good year so far for the K Coaching Tree. Johnny Dawkins has UCF at 12-2 and Steve Wojciechowski has led Marquette to a 12-3 record so far. Bobby Hurley is more or less inventing Arizona State basketball and is currently 10-4. Chris Collins is 10-5 at Northwestern so far and has a refurbished gym to show off.

Mike Brey and Jeff Capel, Duke’s ACC rivals, are 10-5 and 10-4 respectively but Brey has had some injuries on a young team and Capel is trying to revive a moribund program.

Only Harvard’s Tommy Amaker is hovering around .500.
