The Duke Chronicle has a piece up looking ahead to St. John’s this Saturday.

As you may have noticed over the years, the St. John’s game gets a ton of attention and excitement as so many Duke students and graduates get wound up for a bit of home.

And the rivalry has been good. Duke has usually had the upper hand but last season St. John’s upset Duke in the Garden and the last non-ACC team to in in Cameron, 19 years ago, was...St John’s, in the famous Bootsie game (Bootsie Thornton hit 40 in one of the all-time great opponent performances in Cameron.

St. John’s is having an up-and-down year - we’ll get into it more later - and there is some heat on coach Chris Mullin, which is a decision our friend and new St. John’s A.D. Mike Cragg will have to make - but there is no denying the talent of Shamorie Ponds.

In one of the season’s great matchups, Tre Jones will get the assignment. Stay tuned.
