After tough stretches with Philadelphia and Brooklyn, former Blue Devil Jahlil Okafor was seen as a bust.
At one point, Coach K defended him vigorously, saying he wasn't a good kid, he was a great kid.
And as you might expect, though he’s had some tough breaks, Okafor has kept working. He’s changed his diet considerably and has put himself in the best shape of his life. Recently he was praised by New Orleans Pelicans teammate Anthony Davis who loves his work ethic and his attitude.
And with Davis went out with a finger injury, Okafor has really stepped up. In his last three games, he’s had two double-doubles and missed a third by two rebounds.
That’s really great and it’s good to see his hard work rewarded.
