NCAA Basketball: Syracuse at Duke
Jan 14, 2019; Durham, NC, USA; Duke Blue Devils guard Tre Jones (3) leaves the court with an injury during the first half against the Syracuse Orange at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

Tre Jones was having an amazing game against Syracuse when he went down with a shoulder injury. He left the court and did not return.

As it turns out, Jones suffered an AC joint separation. In layman terms, the clavicle separates from the shoulder blade.

Recovery could be a few days or a few months. No way to know yet. The good news is that there’s no surgery required.

As you can see here, there are three grades of an AC separation. No mention of what grade Jones suffered but obviously one is far better than three.
