QB Jones Out Indefinitely, CB Gilbert Lost For Season

Both had surgery Sunday.

Tough news for Duke football as Daniel Jones is out indefinitely and Mark Gilbert is done for the season.

Jones had surgery on his left clavicle and Gilbert on his left hip upon returning to Durham.

It’s bad news overall but there are other guys who came to Duke to play and now get a chance to step up, much like Jones did as a freshman when Thomas Sirk was seriously injured.
