Over at SI.com, Emily Caron, who is one of our favorite new writers, has been doing a crackerjack job of running down the top 20 freshmen from 20-1, concluding with #1, Duke’s RJ Barrett.

She’s pretty perceptive and doesn’t fall for the standard not-enough-balls-to-go-around tripe, understanding that all of the freshmen are solid all-round players who enjoy sharing the ball and especially passing it.

We’ve enjoyed the series and look forward to hearing from her more. She’s a rising star.
