Grant Hill had a long and unusual NBA career. After graduating from Duke, he was drafted by the Detroit Pistons and later went to Orlando as a free agent.
He had a series of ankle injuries and surgeries and a life-threatening infection following one of them.
Despite all of that, he came back and finished his career with the Phoenix Suns with a tremendous amount of honor and was highly esteemed by everyone around the NBA for his character and perseverance.
On Friday he was inducted into the Hall of Fame, an honor he richly deserves.
