Mike Cragg Leaves Duke For St. John’s

Mike Cragg, who has been at Duke for a long time and has been a huge asset for the athletic department, has agreed to become St. John’s next A.D.

We’re thrilled for him and his family but he’s one of those guys who came to Duke and seemed like he’d never leave. He’s always been incredibly nice to us and really supportive of this site.

He’ll be tough to replace at Duke. Mike has done a brilliant job as anyone who has been around Duke knows. He’s raised vast amounts of money and whatever he’s been asked to do he’s done very well.

Couldn’t possibly be a nicer guy so we’re very happy for his new opportunity and needless to say, St. John’s, a true basketball school, will be a great place to apply what he’s learned in Durham.

Still, he’s been a good friend of this site and we’ll miss him.
