NCAA Basketball: Furman at Duke

As college basketball begins, hoops is getting an extra dose of attention around the ACC.

In Raleigh, Kevin Keatts promises a faster team and hopes to use lots of different presses. We’re guessing he picked up a fair amount there from Rick Pitino. When you focus on just the basketball, Pitino’s teams over the years had an incredible capacity to press. Here are three questions for State to answer this season.

Wake has a lot of questions to answer too but here are three to focus on for now. Good news for the Deacs: they picked up a commitment from an intriguing young talent Monday.

Here are three for UNC to answer too (yes it’s a series).

Good news for Notre Dame and Mike Brey: freshman guard Prentiss Hubb is good to go after his knee injury last year in high school. No restrictions.

Remember how Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim pissed everyone off by saying there were no good restaurants in traditional ACC territory? Clearly he needs to get out more when he’s down here but that’s another topic.

Well what goes around comes around and it’s time for Syracuse and Central New York to be mad now: comedian Pete Davidson went on Howard Stern and went off on Syracuse, calling the city and area “trash.”

On the other hand, at least it has some good restaurants.
