Mike Tyson used to say everybody had a plan until they got hit and that’s kind of true for pre-season rankings. No one can know everything and we have to wait to see who is actually good and who’s overrated.

That said, here’s The Sporting News’s Top 25.

Duke is #4, Kentucky is #1, Kansas #2, Gonzaga #3, Virginia #5, UNC #6, Virginia Tech #16, Syracuse #17, Florida State #19 and Clemson #22.

That’s seven ACC teams in the pre-season Top 25 and two great area rivalries between Duke-UNC and Virginia Tech-Virginia.

Now let’s see who really has it.
