Forbes, of all places, has an early look at the 2019 draft.

The author, Tommy Beer, has Duke’s big three freshmen going 1, 2 and 5.

That translates to RJ Barrett to the Hawks, Cam Reddish to the Celtics and Zion Williamson to the Knicks. The Hawks have always sort of been a second-rate ACC team but Barrett is good enough to improve anyone. Reddish would be a dream for Boston with his versatility and Williamson would be a massive fan favorite with the Knicks. He’d also be in a huge media capital and would get tremendous coverage. Big change for a kid from Spartanburg but he seems very well grounded.

Other ACC projectees:

  • UNC’s Nassir Little to the Chicago Bulls at #3
  • Virginia’s DeAndre Hunter to the L.A. Clippers at #12
  • Wake Forest’s Jaylen Hoard to the Brooklyn Nets at #21
  • Virginia Tech’s Nickeil Alexander-Walker to the Philadelphia 76ers at #26
