This should be fun: Duke Basketball has overhauled Duke Blue Planet and now it’s going to be a video series about the 2018-19 season.

The site has been cutting edge from the beginning and remarkable in that it essentially lets the players play hosts and narrators. As we saw with Marshall Plumlee, this can be a lot of fun.

It’ll be fun to see how this plays out across the season and keep in mind that this will tie in with Earn Everything, the show that’s going to be on ESPN+ to warm things up for the ACC Network which is coming in 2019.

This suggests some really interesting things as the idea of a conference network evolves. You could always have a classic show with great games from the past and of course Olympic Sports, but - and no offense to Ed Sheeran or anyone else - there’s a reason why most college sports aren’t on TV and it’s because most people don’t want to watch them. Having original programming featuring the conference’s athletes will probably work. It certainly has for Duke, which leads us to an interesting question: has ESPN attempted to poach Duke’s Dave Bradley (who is responsible for the success of DBP) yet?
