It was a good news/bad news day for State: Blake Harris was granted immediate eligibility after transferring from Mizzou in January but the Pack won’t have promising freshman Manny Bates, who is out for the year after shoulder surgery.

State won’t have a lot of size, but it will have a lot of the type of players that Kevin Keatts succeeded so brilliantly with at UNC-Wilmington. He’s proven his formula can succeed and at times last year State was pretty great. We’re looking forward to Year Two.
