One of the most iconic games in Duke history was the 1986 clash between a rising Duke program and Navy’s out-of-nowhere star David Robinson.
Robinson left high school as a 6-6 nobody, was 6-9 as a freshman and a 7-0 wrecking ball as a sophomore.
He topped out at 7-1 and went on to a Hall of Fame career with the San Antonio Spurs.
Duke had a deeper team though, with a lot more talent. As you’ll see here, Robinson gave the Blue Devils fits inside before Duke took over, winning 71-50.
