Joe Girard has drawn a lot of attention because of his shooting ability. With the game increasingly opening up, great shooters are going to be at a premium because they force defenders out, thus opening driving lanes.

This article has a lot more information about Girard, including his family’s athletic tradition which goes back generations and currently could see up to five Girards on Joe’s team. Three family members coach there.

So far though, Joe is the best athlete the family has produced and he’s going to be hard to surpass.
