With Zion Williamson, Cam Reddish and Tre Jones, Duke has three immensely promising freshmen. But the pick of the litter is likely to be RJ Barrett.

The talented Canadian has been working with the Canadian national team this summer and, according to Drew Hanlan, a skills coach and the CEO of Pure Sweat Basketball, he’s been more than holding his own. In fact, he’s been beating some (unidentified) NBA players on-on-one.

That’s just not something you see very often. He also compares him to Jayson Tatum and Tatum himself says Barrett may be a bit ahead: “He’s more athletic than I was at that age, he’s probably stronger than me. My advantage was that I’m a little taller, and my ability to score the ball was my strong suit ... he’s a great player and a great athlete. He’s a lot taller than I thought he was.”
