There were two ACC games in this year’s NCAA tournament that we will never forget.
The first of course was the epic upset of Virginia by UMBC.
The second was nearly as impressive though - Clemson’s total destruction of Auburn.
That was one of the great NCAA tournament performances in ACC history. You’d probably have to treat Elite Eight and Final Four games a bit differently but otherwise? It was as great a performance as any ACC team has ever put on.
Well, a lot of that team is back and Clemson has the potential to be really, really good this year.
And as this article points out, and we agree, you can’t overvalue experience. There’s no way to know how a season will turn out (Clemson fans can tell you this after a key injury changed the season for the Tigers last year), but the core of this team is good enough to make a deep, deep NCAA drive next spring.
