Like many Duke fans, we’re really excited to see AJ Barrett play in Cameron. He’s a talented player but he’s also ferocious and smart and those are qualities that Coach K is so fond of that he has a certain 12-letter word for that kind of player.

Here’s what Barrett said about playing on the Canadian National team:

“It’s very different, different speed, different physicality, even mentally you have to learn a lot of plays. It’s just a lot different playing with men than playing with younger people. You have to just get used to it, keep going and ask a lot of questions. If you don’t know, you’ve got to ask (or) you won’t succeed. Especially my first day or two, I was going really fast, trying to catch up but now that I’ve been here for a week and a bit, I’m starting to slow down, starting to just try to play.”
