The whole Carter/Duke saga is getting harder to keep track of. In the latest installment, Wendell’s mom, Kylia, retweeted an official Duke basketball tweet about players getting to the NBA and added “THE ABSOLUTE BEST PLACE TO BE A COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYER AND FAMILY!!! #DUKE”

She also said she “loved” Duke.

And Wendell (politely) scolded Dick Vitale, tweeting this: “I don’t usually respond to things like this but mr. vitale ... you are wrong. All love ! no jealousy and marvin and his family knows that. why are you trying to tear us down ?”

Vitale referenced his mother’s posts and Carter tweeted back “yes sir I did and I was there when she did this interview. the reporter clearly wanted more people to view the article because that is not what she said AT ALL.”

So....fake news? We’d like to think so.
