Here’s a bit of summer intrigue: EJ Montgomery, who at one point was leaning towards Duke and expected to pick the Blue Devils, picked Kentucky instead, and did so after the McDonald’s game.

SECCountry.com implies that there is something about Duke’s freshmen that he didn’t care for.

Who knows. Montgomery, probably to his credit, didn’t get drawn into it.

We hope he’s happy at Kentucky and Duke’s recruits are happy with Duke.

We will note for the record that John Calipari pursued the players who chose Duke as avidly as Duke did.
