Grayson Allen On Brandon Ingram’s Progress

Duke and Duke in LA? Could be cool.

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Midwest Regional-Syracuse vs Duke
Mar 23, 2018; Omaha, NE, USA; Duke Blue Devils guard Grayson Allen (3) reacts to a shot against Syracuse Orange forward Oshae Brissett (11) during the first half in the semifinals of the Midwest regional of the 2018 NCAA Tournament at CenturyLink Center.

As you know, as a recent Duke graduate, Grayson Allen is looking for work and one of his potential employers is the Los Angeles Lakers, who brought him in to work out and talk recently.

They currently employ his former Duke teammate Brandon Ingram and so took the opportunity to ask what differences he saw in Ingram:

“I told him he looks bigger, put some weight on, his shoulders are broader. He looks like he’s not getting pushed around anymore. Obviously, he’s come a long way. When he came into Duke he was super skinny. He looks like he’s put some good weight on. He looks pretty big.”

Just what the doctor ordered because, as we said when Ingram was drafted, he looked like Spongebob Squarepants.

No more.
