Duke plays Yale Monday afternoon for the national lacrosse championship and it should be an interesting game.
Yale is a relative newcomer to this level but has a physical and tough team that will not back down.
Duke has three national championships and is playing for #4. Freshman Nakeie Montgomery has emerged as a major star in the post-season but Yale has a great player in attack man Ben Reeves. A senior, Reeves has had a dominant season and is as good as anyone in the country.
The game will be played in Foxboro, Massachusetts at 1:00 pm. It will be broadcast on ESPN2.
We would just like to say that after taking the job in very difficult circumstances after the Duke lacrosse hoax, coach John Danowski has done an absolutely brilliant job and like Mike Krzyzewski and David Cutcliffe, made character a primary focus of his program. He’s been a superb asset for Duke.
