This is cool: the other day we talked about former Blue Devil Shane Battier possibly moving to the front office for the Detroit Pistons.
Apparently Mick McCabe of the Detroit Free Press thinks it’s a pretty great idea. Hard to argue with him. Battier is wicked smart and a solid leader.
On a small side note, he’ll be working with fellow former Devil Luke Kennard and the Pistons, barring any trade, first pick will be #42 in the second round.
As we’ve said before, the mock drafts are all over the place. While Marvin Bagley and Wendell Carter are certain to be lottery picks, Duke’s perimeter players, Grayson Allen, Gary Trent and Trevon Duval, could end up as second round picks and conceivably work with Kennard and Battier.
