2018 NBA Draft: The Intrigue Continues

The most likely sure thing in the draft, barring a trade, is that Phoenix will take Arizona’s DeAndre Ayton.

Beyond that, things get very murky. Could Balkan politics and ethnic issues be an issue for Sacramento, where the Kings are expected to take Luka Docic? GM Vlade Divac and several of his staff are Serbs while Docic is Slovenian. Who knows? Conflicts in that part of the world are incomprehensible to anyone outside of it. Much would dismay us but nothing would surprise us.

Meanwhile, it sounds as if Atlanta won’t let Marvin Bagley fall beyond the third pick if he’s still available.
