If you’re going to coach basketball, or really any sport, having a bit of charisma helps. Duke replaced Jeff Capel with Chris Carrawell and the new guy has a lot of that. He’s not the only member of the staff to bring charisma though.

Former Blue Devil Nolan Smith, who is now Director of Basketball Operations, is also a pretty charismatic guy.

We first got a real glimpse of this during his playing career when Smith hijacked Countdown to Craziness and was bellowing, like Maximus in the pit, “are you not entertained?”

Given his outsized personality and his (already) lifer status in the game, Smith will someday, sooner rather than later, be a head coach. And when he is, we’re pretty sure everyone will indeed be entertained.
