Every year there are guys who emerge late and become key targets seemingly overnight. This year, Aidan Igiehon may be one.
A 6-10 native of Ireland, Igiehon was targeted early by Chris Mack before he moved from Xavier to Louisville.
He’s currently ranked the #23 prospect in the class of 2019.
He says that lately Duke and Kentucky have gotten interested and a number of other schools as well.
These words won’t endear him to Xavier fans and we’ve never thought of Xavier as mediocre, but rather a program that punches above its weight:
“Coach Mack and Coach Luke Murray basically turned a mediocre program like Xavier into a top 10 team. You look at that and they’re in a bigger setting, a bigger program at the University of Louisville. They could do some big things.”
