Harry Giles hasn’t played a minute this season and has managed to cause an immense amount of excitement anyway.
As you probably know, the Sacramento Kings shut him down this season but he has been practicing and rehabbing and there’s a huge buzz about his play.
The Kings can pair him with Willie Caulie-Stein and turn De’Aron Fox loose and possibly build a new NBA paradigm: really fast big guys who you can’t defend on the break backed up by great three point shooting from Justin Jackson, Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic and whoever else they can round up (maybe Gary Trent?)
Here’s an article from the Sacramento Bee about his progress. He’s clearly itching to play and when he does, we’ll see just how far he’s come. We hope the rumors are true. Giles never got close to that level at Duke but he’s a good kid and we’d love to see him tear the league up.
