It’s taken longer than most of us expected, but hard work, a positive attitude and a nice break have combined to put former Blue Devil Quinn Cook in an enviable position: he’s about to be signed to a long-term deal by the Golden State Warriors.
No more two-way contract for Cook: he’s now established himself as a legitimate NBA player and a better than average one at that.
In the last 11 games, Cook has averaged18 points, 4.1 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.0 spg, and 2.5 three-tres He’s shot 54.2 percent overall and 50 percent from the bonusphere.
He’s filled in for the injured Steph Curry and during the last 10 games, when he has started, Golden State is 5-5. That’s impressive without Curry, but the Warriors are also missing Andre Iguodala and almost-Devil Shaun Livingston.
Cook has been a massive success and he’s about to get rewarded. That’s wonderful.
