Duke Basketball Recruiting: Could Travis Reid End Up At Duke After All?

A Johnny Dawkins recruit at Stanford, the powerful forward may end up as a grad student transfer.

A few years ago, Duke was seriously interested in 6-8 Minnesota forward Reid Travis. He ultimately chose Stanford and Johnny Dawkins over Duke.

A redshirt junior, he’ll graduate this spring and could transfer and be immediately eligible. He could choose Duke - if Duke beats out Kentucky and whoever else gets involved.

He could also try to play his way into the NBA. Not currently seen as a clear draft pick, Travis could follow the path set by Quinn Cook, Lance Thomas and most recently Lakers rookie Andre Ingram.

Or he could take one more year at a major program and try to polish his skills and resume.
