Mike DeCourcy is a long-time college basketball columnist so of course we’re pretty familiar with his opinions and history.

Still, we didn’t know he was a Pittsburgh native so he obviously took interest in Jeff Capel’s move to Steel City and has some what seems like useful advice for the new head man at Pitt.

We’d expect that the excitement that Capel and his wife both felt about the job and the city, and which Capel described vividly at his introductory press conference, will find a welcome audience on campus and around town.
