Duke rode an outstanding game from Leaonna Odom to a 72-58 victory over #23 Belmont and a spot in the second round of the NCAA women’s tournament.
Odom scored 25 points, grabbed six rebounds, passed out four assists and picked up two steals. That’s a big day in anyone’s book.
Senior Rebecca Odom added 18 points, four boards and picked off three steals of her own.
Duke collectively had 21 points off of turnovers.
Duke will play Georgia on Monday night. Barring a bigger upset than UMBC over Virginia - seeds are irrelevant here - the winner will get UConn.
UConn won its opener 140-52. Stopping that train won’t be easy.
