Duke Hypometer Is Officially Off The Charts

There’s no way Duke or any college team is beating even the worst NBA team.

You know the hype has gotten completely out of hand when people are saying - including Paul Pierce who should certainly know better - that a college team can beat an NBA team.

No matter how bad an NBA team looks, it’s full of great players.

In this case, Pierce and others argue that Duke could beat Cleveland. But the Cavaliers have Sam Dekker, who gave Duke some trouble in 2015 as you’ll recall, Larry Nance Jr. who is talented, Kevin Love, who is the best outlet passer in the game, Tristan Thompson, JR Smith, Kyle Korver, Collin Sexton, Channing Frye and not least of all former Blue Devil Rodney Hood.

Incidentally, Cleveland is a 22.5 point favorite.

This is a very promising team but they’re still very young and if you don’t think that matters, go watch Korver for a while. The guy is 37 and has enough knowledge to beat guys nearly 20 years younger.

It’s a ludicrous argument but as we’ve said, the hype is out of control and may take a while to calm down.
