Here’s another ACC preview, this one from Norm Wood over at Virginia’s Daily Press.
He focuses on five things: Duke’s young stars, depth, new coaches at Pitt and Louisville, dark horses and coaches potentially on the hot seat (that would be Danny Manning and Josh Pastner).
He also has individual reviews of Virginia Tech and Virginia.
The Roanoke paper has its preview up as well as five ACC players to watch.
Here’s the Louisville Courier-Journal’s stab at predicting the conference race too.
It’s probably a bad decision, but NC State commit Jalen Lecque is considering skipping college and applying for the draft. As a high school grad currently at a prep school he could be eligible but for the most part, guards who apply are taking a major risk. There are dozens of guys who are older and vastly more well rounded who will take their jobs in short order. Big guys are different because, well, you can’t teach someone to be 6-8 or taller and generally speaking, big is better than little in basketball.
