Duke wraps up the regular season with Wake Forest on Saturday in Wallace Wade.
Duke is already bowl bound but at 5-6, Wake Forest needs to win to get there.
The Blue Devils have the emotional impetus of the Clemson loss to push them forward. You may remember that after that game, David Cutcliffe, you may recall, said he wanted to look his team in the eye after that performance.
He said this this week: “If we can’t exceed most of the people we play’s energy and intensity, it’s not going to go well for us. We had a great little devotional this morning about a lot of those personality traits—their will, their conviction, their mindset, their heart and their drive.”
If Duke can come emotionally prepared, the Blue Devils should acquit themselves well.
