Shane Batter #31...
Shane Battier stuffing an unremembered Tar Heel

Throughout his Duke career, Shane Battier exemplified something special about the Duke program.

In many ways, he became the face of Duke: a basketball talent, a scholar, an erudite and valued interview.

One of our favorite Battier moments was when Duke got back into first place his senior year, where he had been for his entire Duke career. Someone asked him how it felt: “normal.”

Watch and enjoy the brilliance.
