Duke Recruiting: LaMelo Would Like A Call

When the Ball brothers left for Lithuania, their idiot father, LaVar, said he didn't see any point for them to play NCAA basketball anyway.

Fast forward to now...he wasn’t idiotic enough to let them be paid and has enrolled LaMelo in an Ohio prep school...and now LaMelo says he’d like to be recruited by Kentucky, UNC and Duke, among others.

That seems unlikely.

Even if he is eligible, which is by no means certain, no coach we can think of will look forward to his father’s antics. It’s difficult to imagine Coach K tolerating it and back in the day, Roy Williams quit recruiting one of the Rush brothers when he criticized Ol’ Roy’s style.

However a smaller program that could use some attention might buy in - until they get sick of LaVar too.
