When Chris Burgess chose Duke over BYU back in the late ‘90s, it sent BYU coach Roger Reid around the bend. He said something like Burgess had betrayed nine million Mormons or something close to that. It was grossly unfair and a terrible way to treat a teenager.

It wasn’t too long after that that his BYU career collapsed and he and the university parted ways.

Fast forward to today and Burgess is an assistant at Utah Valley, which is obviously in Utah, and has a different perspective on BYU.
