Braxton News For Virginia, NC State

Two important ACC notes we haven’t had a chance to talk about yet and for the first time ever, both about guys named Braxton.

First, Virginia won immediate eligibility for Alabama transfer Braxton Key. That will really help shore up their inside game. He could, well, he could be key to their hopes.

And second, NC State’s Braxton Beverly broke his hand this week and will have surgery which obviously will slow him down for a good while. State may have enough backcourt strength to overcome the loss however.

All things considered, it’s a shame that Isaiah Hicks doesn't have a younger brother named Braxton. Then we could have headlines like “Braxton Hicks foul line contraction gave birth to new hope for NC State.”
