Wendell Carter opened a lot of in NBA summer league play and many people came out of that thinking that he might be the best big man in the rookie class.

He’s still immensely promising and it’s very early but Carter hasn’t had a big game yet.

However, look who he’s gone up against: Dallas (Dwight Howard, DeAndre Jordan and Ray Spalding), Detroit (Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin) and Philadelphia (Joel Embiid).

That’s a lot for anyone, much less a rookie. Give him a few weeks to get adjusted and then let’s see how he’s looking.
