K, Zion Don’t Seem Too Worried About Trial Allegations

Inevitably after this week’s news from the Adidas trial, where allegations were made about Zion Williamson’s father asking Kansas for illegal benefits, Williamson became a focus of media attention.

Neither he nor Duke seems terribly concerned. After Countdown to Craziness, Williams said this: “Honestly, I didn’t pay no attention to it. I was just happy it was Countdown week because I’ve been very excited for it since I came on my visit last year, and Countdown was everything I thought it would be.”

And for his part, Coach K said this: “We’ve done exhaustive things with the NCAA in the summer. They have an eligibility center now and an exhaustive process where these kids and their parents go through everything. We feel very comfortable not only with him but all of our freshmen. We feel very comfortable with that.”

Williamson’s parents were in attendance as well, so obviously Duke wasn’t too worried.
