YouTube Gold: 1985 McDonald’s Classic

Let’s go slightly old school for this YouTube Gold and step back to the 1995 McDonald’s Game. We see some very familiar faces here including several Tar Heels, Georgia Tech’s Tom Hammond and soon-to-be Blue Devils Danny Ferry and Quin Snyder. Snyder, with a near buzz cut and fresh-faced, is hardly recognizable, while Ferry actually had hair.

Hammonds would go on to four years of taunting Ferry by calling him Danny Fairy. Presumably in this game, since they were teammates, they got along better.

Note also how many guys in this game sank without a trace. Unless you’re pretty hardcore we’d guess there are a bunch of guys you either forgot or never heard of in the first place.
