Wednesday night may have been a first in Duke basketball history as three Blue Devils prepared to compete on opening night as rookies: Grayson Allen for the Utah Jazz vs. Harry Giles and Marvin Bagley for the Sacramento Kings.

Allen was looking forward to it but didn’t get in the game. Bagley scored six points and grabbed five rebounds in 12 minutes while Giles had two points, one rebound and one assist in 10.

That’s not a big night for either guy but then again, Utah’s Rudy Gobert is not exactly an NBA Welcome Wagon inside.

Quin Snyder’s Jazz won, 123-117.
