Duke has a tradition of playing the D-II champs every year in an exhibition game which is pretty cool and they do it for (at a minimum) two reasons: 1) to recognize them and give them a big stage and 2) to let Duke’s players start the season playing a championship team.
It’s smart on both levels.
This year it’ll be Ferris State and Ferris State sounds pretty excited about it.
