As we learned Wednesday, Hurricane Michael made land in Florida at about 155 mph. That means that it came ashore as a Cat 4 but just barely missed being a Cat 5.

It’s dark as we write this but in the morning the damage will become clear. The most frightening thing to us was a trailer park where people said they couldn’t afford to evacuate. That’s a nightmarish scenario.

It’s coming to the Carolinas on Thursday as a lesser storm but still full of rain which means more flooding.

During and after Florence people helped this state a lot. We might need some more after Michael but Florida is going to need massive help. If you can afford to give, please consider doing so. It’s going to be devastating for many.
